About the P.G. Fox Society

The P. G. Fox Society was established in 2004 to honor Dr. P. G. Fox, who along with his father and Dr. George Paschal, Jr. founded Raleigh Community Hospital, now known as Duke Raleigh Hospital. Dr. Fox has been a vital force in the life of Duke Raleigh Hospital and has served as its Chief of Medical Staff Affairs since 1989.

In addition to the Learning Resource Center, the P.G. Fox Society’s efforts have enabled the creation of an annual educational scholarship to recognize one exceptional nurse at Duke Raleigh Hospital, as well as an endowment to be used “where the needs are greatest” for the patients and families who use Duke Raleigh Hospital.

Through tax– deductible contributions, the P. G. Fox Society supports Duke Raleigh Hospital in continuing to provide millions of dollars in free health care services to our community.
